APPLIED BACHELOR DEGREES
WAPOLY offered a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology with an optional minor. The degree was applied in nature and was intended to prepare students and graduates for work in industry as soon as practicable. This applied program was not intended for transfer-ability.
WORKING STUDENTS
WAPOLY was an evening college. Most of our students worked in the industry during the day, so they could pay their own tuition and stay out of debt. Most WAPOLY graduates had several years of industry work experience by the time they graduated.
WORKING FACULTY
WAPOLY was an evening college. Most of our faculty worked in the industry during the day. Working faculty brought applied current knowledge into the classroom. In addition, they had job opportunities for top students.
MONTHLY COURSES
Students took one block course at a time. Finished a block course each month and moved on to the next month. One at a time, so they could keep their day job.
MONTHLY STARTS
With monthly courses, students could start the program throughout the year. They did not have to wait for Fall Quarter. They could even start in February, if they wanted too.
MONTHLY TUITION
Students paid for one month block course at a time. Monthly tuition allowed students to work, budget, and pay as you went. Low Tuition was set at $6,750/year.
NO FEES
WAPOLY charged tuition, but did not charge small fees. This kept budgeting for students and the college simple, we just rolled everything into tuition.
APPLIED COURSEWORK
WAPOLY College was focused on careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields.
NO TEXTBOOK COSTS
WAPOLY College never charged for textbooks. Students just checked-out course textbooks from the college library. When they were done, students just checked them back in. Wow, textbook checkout from the college library, great idea. If a student really wanted a personal copy, they would purchase a used one online. No bookstore needed.
